North America Is Calling...Will You Answer?
The United States looks forward to making your acquaintance, either before or after the MASCC/ISOO International Symposium on Supportive Care in Cancer.
While Miami's sparkling diversity is the secret to the city's infectious charm, it is but one colorful thread of the vibrant American tapestry.
For Symposium participants, certain states should be visited if at all possible:
Waltzing in Tennessee: The 'Volunteer State' is where you'll find the capital of American Country music, Nashville. Once you have two-stepped your way through the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, you may want to drive to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. UTHSC, located in Knoxville, is acclaimed for its research into oral complications of cancer therapies in adults and pediatric oncology.
New York State of Mind: A mere few hours' drive from Miami, New York's many delightful distractions are the stuff of legend. Yet, besides taking in a Broadway show, exploring the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) or going to a New York Yankees baseball game, Symposium delegates may also want to carve out time to visit the world's oldest and largest private cancer center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Two Hours to O-Town! If you are looking for something a bit closer to Miami, you should consider spending a few days in Orlando, Florida. A couple of hours away from Miami by car, Orlando is one of the world's fastest-growing cities. While here, you should explore the Orlando Science Center and learn the mysteries of outer space at the Crosby Observatory. If time permits, Orlando's UF Health Cancer Center is a leading provider of premier cancer care in the state of Florida.
Turn your MASCC/ISOO Symposium experience into a once in a lifetime American adventure!
